Hapus i Siarad Rhondda Cynon Taf Happy to Chat

Mae Hapus i Siarad yn rhoi cyfle i ddysgwyr Cymraeg ddefnyddio’r Gymraeg yn y gymuned trwy gael sgwrs mewn busnesau bach sy’n “hapus i siarad” Cymraeg gyda nhw. Rydym yn trefnu’r cynllun ar y cyd â´r Ganolfan Dysgu Cymraeg Genedlaethol.

Mae busnesau’n rhan bwysig o’n cymunedau a’n bywydau bob dydd ac felly’n yn fwy na llefydd i brynu pethau. Maen nhw’n llefydd i bobl gyfarfod ei gilydd, cael sgwrs a bod yn rhan o’r gymuned – lleoliadau gwych i ymarfer siarad Cymraeg.

Mae busnesau lleol, sy’n awyddus i fod yn rhan o’r cynllun, wedi derbyn poster a syniadau am sut i annog pobl, yn enwedig dysgwyr, i siarad Cymraeg a magu hyder. Felly, cadwch lygaid ar agor am y posteri!

“Hapus i Siarad” (Happy to Chat) is an opportunity for Welsh learners to speak the language in the communities simply by having a chat in the small businesses that are “happy to chat” in Cymraeg with them. We are organising Hapus i Siarad in co-operation with the National Centre for Learning Welsh.

Businesses are an important part of our communities and everyday lives, and they’re more than just places to buy things. They’re places where people meet, chat, and become part of the community – ideal settings to practise speaking Cymraeg.

Local businesses keen to take part in the scheme will receive a poster along with tips on how to encourage Welsh speakers, and learners in particular, to speak the language and build confidence. So watch out for the posters!

Sut mae’n gweithio? How does it work?

Mae’r dysgwyr yn derbyn cerdyn teyrngarwch gan eu tiwtoriaid a’r Mentrau Iaith lleol i gasglu stamp neu lofnod gan 3 busnes lle maent wedi cael sgwrs yn Gymraeg. Bydd y cardiau yn mynd i mewn i gystadleuaeth am benwythnos preswyl mewn un o’r canolfannau dysgu Cymraeg yng Nghymru.

Mae cyfle i’r dysgwyr anfon eu cardiau tan 17 Gorffennaf 2026 trwy e-bost at post@mentrauiaith.cymru neu eu cyflwyno i’w tiwtoriaid.

O’r holl gardiau sy’n cael eu cyflwyno bydd yr enillydd yn cael eu tynnu o’r het a’u cyhoeddi mewn digwyddiad ar 3 Awst yn ystod Eisteddfod Genedlaethol y Garreg Las.

Learners are given a kind of loyalty card from their tutors and local Menter Iaith to collect a stamp or signature from three businesses where they’ve had a conversation in Welsh. These cards will be entered into a competition to win a residential weekend at one of the Welsh language centres in Wales.

Learners can send in their cards until 17 July 2026 – either by email to post@mentrauiaith.cymru or hand them in to their tutors.

From all the submitted cards, the winner will be drawn at an event on 3 August during the National Eisteddfod.
